Note for the Linux file: After you save this file, you will have to make it executable. Either

in a shell, give the command chmod +x cardiff; or
in a GUI desktop such as gnome with a file browser like Nautilus,
right-click on the file, select Properties, and look for an option to set the Execute Permissions.

These are just snapshots. It is much more interesting to run the program and watch the patterns evolve.
