On Wednesday, DIF (El Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), the local social services agency, had a picnic lunch for all the teams working in the ejido and presented us with certificates for our home churches.

It was held in the local school:


All the schools seem to have outdoor stages in their yards:


Though it wasn't too warm, the tables were set up under the trees at the end of the schoolyard:


The locals turned out to help prepare, including the lady for whom we were building the casita:
